This course focuses on the scan, mill, and design aspects of 24 Hour Teeth. No surgery takes places unlike the traditional 24 Hour Teeth course.
The participants begin their day with a "24 Hour Teeth" lecture from Dr. Gibney. The lecture reviews previous implant cases and the impact of "24 Hour Teeth" on patients and a dental practice.
Kim begins the process by placing an impression into the scanner
Once the impression is 100% scanned into the computer, Kim uses the digital impression to design teeth to be milled. Dr. Gibney reviews and makes any necessary changes. The design is then sent to the mill.
The mill drills the design into a puck. We make temporaries, not permanent during the courses. So, once the mill has completed, the teeth are ready for the patient. Milled permanent teeth must be sintered in the oven overnight.
A "24 Hour Teeth" patient comes in to show off his temporary that he has been wearing for many weeks. The temporary is worn to protect the implant sites until they are fully healed and integrated with bone.
